Avallon: background and attribution
Avallon is Sam Parrett’s paintbrush family published by Set Sail Studios. The publisher explains that the letters were hand-painted to preserve uneven texture and stroke character. The project includes an Alt resource with alternate lowercase and a separate All Caps variation, rather than only one repeated alphabet.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
Compare the ordinary lowercase with the Alt version in words containing repeated letters. The All Caps variation provides another set of capitals for composition. Keep those resource choices separate from tracking or size adjustments, and inspect accents in the original specimen for the wording you need.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try a short event heading or expressive product label on a plain background. Compare repeated letters with and without an alternate, then reduce the work to thumbnail size. Keep dates and practical details in a simpler companion so the painted texture does not obscure essential information.
For independent comparisons, try Knewave and Caveat Brush. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
