Audrey: background and attribution
Cristina Pagnotta introduced Audrey through her own project presentation in January 2016. The creator describes an elegant family with three weights and two variations. That primary account distinguishes this design from unrelated products that may also use the personal name Audrey.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
Regular, medium and bold resources are paired with upright and oblique variations. An oblique changes the slant treatment; it should not automatically be described as a separately drawn cursive italic. Check the original files and accompanying terms when choosing a production resource.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Compare a restrained short heading in regular and medium with identical wording. Inspect the oblique for secondary emphasis rather than assuming it suits long passages. Check the actual characters needed for names and punctuation before finalizing a layout.
For independent comparisons, try Poiret One and Josefin Sans. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
