01

Amandine: background and attribution

Elena Genova designed Amandine for My Creative Land. The publisher describes a high-contrast sans family drawing on Didone typography, older display designs and calligraphic script. Those combined references explain its decorative direction without making it a revival of one specific historical typeface.

Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.

02

Forms, styles and what to inspect

Upright and italic treatments share characteristic curves, while the italics have their own drawings. Stylistic alternates, ligatures and swashes provide additional choices. Compare the source specimen before classifying the design solely by its Didone reference: the publisher identifies the family as sans.

Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.

03

Try it in a real layout

Try a book-cover title and a quieter author line. Begin with ordinary forms, then compare a limited number of alternates. At small sizes, inspect the thin strokes and spaces within letters; a decorative title treatment may need a simpler companion for longer descriptions.

For independent comparisons, try Belleza and Italiana. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
