All Round Gothic: background and attribution
Ryoichi Tsunekawa designed All Round Gothic in 2012 for Dharma Type. The foundry connects its geometric construction with Avant Garde Gothic and Futura, while describing a softer approach to those precedents. Rather than treating every bowl as a perfect circle, the design introduces small irregularities and removes unnecessary stems. Its historical reference is therefore geometric modernism, interpreted through a deliberately more approachable contemporary voice.

Forms, styles and what to inspect
The family has nine weights with corresponding obliques, giving eighteen styles in the publisher catalog. Light and heavy settings share the same rounded geometric vocabulary, while the weights provide different degrees of emphasis. The foundry presents it for text, headings, logos, posters and animation. Rounded shapes should be assessed in whole words: the relationship between adjoining bowls and straight strokes matters as much as an individual circular letter.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try a three-word event title above a short location and date. Set the title in a heavier weight and use a quieter weight for the supporting line, then compare the same arrangement in sentence case. Leave enough room around round letters to keep the word shape open. For a logo study, compare repeated letters and tight pairs before deciding how much additional spacing the final name needs.
For independent comparisons, try Comfortaa and Josefin Sans. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
