Jonathan Ball’s Alkaline takes its reference from mid-century lettering and kitchen-appliance logos. The designer’s account identifies Fort Foundry as its distributor. This connects the family to a specific lettering tradition without inventing a release date from the website copyright.

The design uses an 18-degree slant and offers Script and Caps resources. Its listed weights are Regular, Medium, Demi, Bold and Heavy. Ligatures and contextual and stylistic alternates affect connected text, so a plain character chart does not show every possible combination.

Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.

Try a short product name with its supporting all-cap label. Compare repeated letters with contextual features enabled and disabled in a compatible application. Allow room for the slant at both ends of the text frame, especially when exporting a tightly cropped image.
