Comic lettering has different roles, including dialogue, captions and dramatic sound effects. A loud display title and a readable speech balloon should be evaluated separately.

Try an actual sentence in a balloon-sized area. Check punctuation, emphasized words and line breaks. Reserve more forceful display lettering for a brief sound effect or title so it does not dominate every panel.

Use the same wording and approximate size in each specimen. The size and tracking controls help you inspect the design; the PNG is a visual reference rather than a complete page layout.

Open a family’s official font page from its specimen when you want the font files. The selected source distributions include open licenses; review the license included with the specific files you obtain, especially if you plan to modify or redistribute them.
